Carbon Footprint Italy is the Italian programme dedicated to communicating the results of the quantification of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of products and organisations and their reductions.
The Carbon Trust launched the first carbon label on the market in 2007. Since then, it has verified over 37,000 product carbon footprints with the label appearing on products in over 40 countries, including Tetra Pak packaging, Amazon devices and Nescafe coffee. The Carbon Trust label remains the most recognised carbon label by consumers globally (YouGov 2023). Underpinned by a rigorous verification process, the Carbon Trust label demonstrates a company’s commitment to reducing the carbon footprints of its products across the full product lifecycle, from extraction of raw materials through to the product’s manufacture, distribution, use and eventual disposal.

The National Carbon Neutrality Program (PPCN) is an initiative promoted by the Government of Costa Rica. The program is pioneer in Latin America, driving companies, organizations, local governments and public institutions towards sustainability and carbon neutrality. Aligned with the Paris Agreement, the PPCN offers tools, guides and certifications to promote the reduction and compensation of greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative has had a very positive response, and many private companies have joined it, implementing actions to transform their processes and products to make them sustainable and carbon neutral.
The Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization or TGO was established as an autonomous public organization in accordance with Thai law to manage and expedite development and implementation of greenhouse gas reduction projects and support public, private and international organization partnerships to promote implementation of climate action.
